Parachute Fun with Room 2

Room 9 - 2014

A very busy couple of weeks but some lovely photos of the class.
Logan started last week and we also have Sophie, Blake, Oliver, Libby, Ziggy and Bella working hard in class joining us in November.

Class Outing to the Hospice Christmas Display at the Train Station

Thanks to Mrs Horton, Mrs Senior, Mr Climo, and Miss Ashdown for helping out.

A great outing and some very tired children by the end of the day.  The children were outstanding and they represented Witherlea School with excellent behaviour both on the Mitre 10 bus, and at the Display. I have received a lovely comment from a member of the public, who was also travelling on the bus and he was very impressed with their lovely manners.  Well done Room 9.

Welcome to Hunter, this weeks new student

Our poem for this week

Jelly on a plate.
Jelly on a plate.
Wibble, wobble,
Wibble, wobble.
Jelly on a plate.

...well perhaps not jelly on a plate, but jelly in a cup - yum, yum, yum.

Syndicate Walk to Harling Park

Tuesday, 28 October 2014

We welcome George, Mckenzie and Lucas this week.

Today we have been busy planting some sunflower and radish seeds. Next Friday we are joining Rooms 1 & 2 and helping with the schools Edible Gardens.
Today we also went to Kapa Haka with the other classes in the Ferns Syndicate.
Mrs Herdman is very pleased with our progress with early words and reading and is loving how clever we are with our number knowledge.

Remember the school picnic on Friday and come dressed as the colour of a fruit or vegetable starting with the first letter of your name.
See the newsletter for details - Parent welcome

Wednesday, 15 October 2014

A warm welcome to Room 9 - James, Charlotte, Marc and Tom.
All of the children have settled in beautifully to school and have been working hard with their reading, phonics and early words.

Today we went to the staffroom to make some play-dough together.
